an old fruit Turning Green

I have been thinking a lot about recycling plastic bags. take a look at this . (this is especially for you Caroline M) Am I crazy to think we could all be doing this?? every once in a while.
Any ideas what we could make with the bags ... I was thinking about the famous green tote, that we all need now. Maybe a groundsheet for your tent.

Anyone for Salad?

First..... Thanks so much for the comments :)

and then.. I wanted to tell you that ...
I found this fantastic salad dressing recipe for a party we had, and have been using it a LOT ever since. It comes from here

Recipe:
3/4 and 2 tablespoons olive oil
1/4 cup and 3 tablespoons white wine vinegar (I use cider vinegar)
3 tablespoons and 1/2 teaspoon Dijon Mustard
3/4 teaspoon salt
3/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
2 pinches of white sugar
1 tablespoon and 1/2 teaspoon chopped fresh parsley
1 tablespoon and 1/2 teaspoon fresh lemon juice
7 cloves of garlic chopped

shove it all in an airtight jar and shake it up!

This goes with almost any salad (really!) and keeps well in the fridge. It is a little thick, stays well blended in the jar and sticks to the lettuce in a very pleasing way. ENJOY!

In the Garden

It is beautiful outside today... all except for this large pile of compost begging to be put to use. I made a very small dent in the right-hand side

The grass is peeping through, the topsoil Andrew spread last week.

honey smelling white flowers near the apple tree.

(OK so this is sideways- I have a lot to learn!) but do notice the flowers. I need to find out what they are called. I hope the day is sunny and warm where you are also.
